Larkin’s NEW...JUST ADDED! Larkin Mackey & Joshua McBride, owners of Larkin’s
in Eagle Rock opened this cozy restaurant with hospitality and down-home cooking in mind. Located in a historic Craftsman
bungalow, Chef Larkin Mackey combines traditional Soul food with Latin and California accents. The décor is warm
and inviting and the service is prompt and attentive. The Gayborhood highly recommends Larkin’s and we are glad
to have them in the community. This is the perfect place for “comfort food”, a satisfying lunch or romantic
dinner. Although they do not yet have a liquor license, they do allow you to bring your own wine and charge a minimal
corkage fee. Reservations accepted • entertainment ($$) [Gay]1496 Colorado

Villa Sombrero The Mexican food is fabulous at this legendary restaurant. The Gayborhood has been coming here because the Margaritas
are HUGE, the portions are generous and the Guacamole is prepared tableside. The service is friendly and the restaurant
is casual. I love low-wattage lighting and a funky interior. That's what makes it fun. ($) [Gay

Folliero
Pizaria This Gayborhood favorite features Pizza and Italian faire at very reasonable prices. The thin-crust
pizza is still the most popular menu item and they serve beer & wine to go with it. Say hello manager, Titina Folliero
who continues to support our community. ($) [Gay Friendly] 5566 N Figueroa St.

Old LA (Highland Park) Farmer's
Market It's not a Gayborhood without a Farmer's Market and this one
is great, especially since a number of gays and lesbians are involved in this weekly event. I should also point out
that the organizer is a hottie but I am not naming names. Every Tuesday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm Marmion Way & Ave 57,
Los Angeles, 90042
Second Saturday Art Walk NELA Art produces this monthly event and the Gayborhood is always there to support the arts. Last month's event featured
12 galleries, many of which are gay-owned. All are gay-friendly and C.I.C.L.E.,
in conjunction with the Art Walk, organizes a bike tour each month. How eco-friendly is that! Check the website
for details.
